Privacy Policy
How RVOS handles your data and respects your privacy.
Last updated: 12 July 2026
RVOS is a desktop AI operating system built on local-first principles. This policy explains what data is stored, what may be sent elsewhere, and the choices you have. This document is provided for transparency and is not legal advice.
1Data stored on your device
RVOS stores application data and user-created content locally on your device. This includes your workspaces, notes, documents, brand assets and the shared AI memory that connects them. By default, this data does not leave your machine.
Because your data lives on your device, you can inspect, export or delete it at any time from within RVOS. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups.
2AI requests to third-party providers
When you initiate an AI action — such as generating text, summarising a document or asking a question — RVOS may send the relevant portion of your content to a third-party AI provider to process the request. Only the data needed to complete the specific action is sent.
RVOS does not send your entire workspace or memory to AI providers by default. Each AI request is scoped to what is necessary for that action. The third-party AI providers we use are governed by their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.
3Future social integrations
RVOS may offer social media integrations in the future. These integrations would allow you to connect external accounts to publish content or retrieve information from within RVOS.
Such integrations will only ever access your account identity, authorised media information and publishing permissions — and only after you have explicitly authorised the connection. RVOS will not connect to, or access data from, any external service without your clear and deliberate consent.
You will be shown exactly what permissions an integration requests before you authorise it, and you can decline or revoke access at any time.
4Authentication tokens
When you authorise an integration, RVOS receives authentication tokens that allow it to communicate with the external service on your behalf. These tokens are stored securely on your device and are used solely to maintain the connection you authorised.
RVOS does not share, transfer or sell authentication tokens to any third party. Tokens remain under your control and can be revoked at any time.
5Disconnecting integrations and requesting deletion
You can disconnect any integration at any time from within RVOS. Disconnecting an integration revokes its access and removes the associated authentication tokens from your device.
To request deletion of data you have shared with us directly — for example, a contact form submission — email us at the address listed in section 7 below. We will process reasonable deletion requests and confirm once complete.
Data stored locally on your device can be deleted by you at any time from within RVOS, without contacting us.
6Service under development
RVOS is still under development. The data handling practices described in this policy reflect how the application is designed and how we intend it to work. Some features — including social integrations and certain AI capabilities — are not yet available. We will update this policy as features are added or changed.
We may update this policy as RVOS develops. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide notice within the application or on this page.
